SAMHSA Headlines: National Strategy To Reduce Suicide


The 2012 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention, a report from the U.S. Surgeon General and the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, details 13 goals and 60 objectives for reducing suicides over the next 10 years.
Through a blog and social media, You Matter aims to build awareness and trust in the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by providing a safe, online space where young adults can connect with the Lifeline.

Recently, more than 1,000 people provided direct, concrete feedback about the SAMHSA website. The effort to improve the SAMHSA website has become a true collaboration between those managing it and those using it.
