Online CE Module: Malaria 101 for Health Care Providers

The Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria is pleased to announce its newly available Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) module "Malaria 101 for Health Care Providers." Malaria, caused by different species of the protozoan parasite Plasmodium, is found worldwide. Malaria is largely a preventable disease, yet there are approximately 1400 cases of malaria imported each year into the US. Malaria can present with non-specific symptoms. Timely diagnosis and treatment is key to reducing the likelihood of complications and even death.
This approximately one hour course, accredited for 1.0 hours of CME credit and 1.0 hours of CNE credit, is designed give you the basic knowledge necessary for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of malaria.
