RPPR Is Open for Business. A reminder that for most streamlined noncompeting award process (SNAP) and fellowship awards, you now have two options to submit your interim progress report: eSNAP or the Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR). For more information, read our September 26, 2012, article "The Progress of Progress Reports: RPPR” and go to Know Which Progress Report to Prepare in the Strategy for NIH Funding.
You Have More Time to Respond to NIH’s SBIR Solicitation.  NIH extended the receipt date for its SBIR Program Contract Solicitation.  You may now apply until December 3, 2012.  Get the scoop in the November 2, 2012, Guide notice.
Late Submission OK for Sandy-Related Weather Delays. If you encountered grant application problems due to Hurricane Sandy, you can apply late without penalty. Submit a cover letter noting reasons for the delay. For details, read the October 26, 2012, Guide notice and see the NIH Extramural Response to Natural Disasters and Other Emergencies.
