Rabies for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This information has recently been updated, and is now available.
Rabies vaccine supplies remain restricted in the United States. Rabies vaccine produced by Sanofi Pasteur (IMOVAX), is currently available for postexposure prophylaxis only. Vaccine produced by Novartis (RabAvert), continues to be available for pre- and postexposure prophylaxis. CDC continues to work with partners to monitor the status of the rabies vaccine supply. This status is not expected to change moving into Spring, however, additional updates will be released as available.
A new page on the CDC Rabies website has been created to provide routine updates on biologic supplies.
