Up to $11.3 Million Available in Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment Medical Professional Training Program Grants

The purpose of the program is to develop and implement training programs to teach health professionals skills to provide evidence-based screening, brief intervention, and brief treatment, and to refer patients to treatment.

SAMHSA Celebrates 40 Years of Support for the Minority Fellowship Program

Since the program's inception in 1973, more than 1,700 of its fellows have received advanced training, degrees, and certifications in behavioral health professions.

Disaster Distress Helpline Provides Immediate Counseling

The SAMHSA-sponsored Helpline, 800-985-5990, offers counseling to those affected by the tragedies in Boston, MA, and West, TX, or any natural or human-caused disaster.

Up to $38 Million Available in State Adolescent Treatment Enhancement and Dissemination Grants

The program provides funding to improve treatment for adolescents and transitional age youth through the development of a learning laboratory with collaborating local community-based treatment provider sites.

Up to $23.5 Million Available in Cooperative Agreements To Benefit Homeless Individuals for State Grants

The program enhances the infrastructure of treatment service systems to increase capacity to provide evidence-based treatment services.
