Upcoming Webinar: Preventing Alcohol Use During Pregnancy
Monday, September 9, 2013 | 2–3:30 p.m. Eastern Time
In the continuing effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking alcohol during pregnancy, and to highlight the 15th anniversary of International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day, you are invited to a webinar hosted by the FASD Center for Excellence. Titled "Preventing Alcohol Use During Pregnancy: Applying New Solutions to Ongoing Needs," the webinar will take place on September 9, 2013, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, and is free to all attendees.
Opportunities exist in nearly every public health sector to increase awareness among women about the risks of alcohol consumption during pregnancy, so we encourage all health care professionals to join us for this special event.

New "Ask the Expert" Feature
Each month, an FASD specialist will share his or her insights or respond to a question from one of our website visitors. The first edition features interviews with Kenneth Lyons Jones, M.D., and Ann Streissguth, Ph.D., two of the premier researchers in the field of FASD. Many of the breakthroughs in FASD prevention and treatment over the last 40 years have been related to their work.
