About the EURORDIS Awards

Addressing the challenges of rare diseases requires the leadership and excellence of many patient advocates, patient groups, civil servants, policy makers, researchers and entrepreneurs who combine dedication and innovation. They are passionate about the rare disease cause.

Partnering of all stakeholders and acting at the European level are the only ways forward to deal with the rarity of patients and experts, the lack of resources and interest. Together we are making a difference.

The purpose of the EURORDIS Awards is to recognise the outstanding commitment and achievements of patients’ organisations, volunteers, companies, scientists, media and policy makers who have contributed to reducing the impact of rare diseases on people’s lives. Many others deserve our recognition.
