Share Your #GetCovered Story

Dept. of Health & Human Services
Since the beginning of open enrollment, three million people have signed up for coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. In some cases, people are saving hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year. In other cases, people are getting covered for the first time.
If you’ve benefited from the Affordable Care Act & enrolled through the Health Insurance Marketplace, we want to hear your story – click here to tell it.
Here are some of the things people have said about signing up:
  • "It was one of the most relieving things ever. The Affordable Care Act is literally allowing me to pursue my dreams rather than be chained to an employer for the benefits." - James
  • "Having health insurance means I can still continue to fish for the next song that's going to mean something to me and other people, and that it's going to be okay if something happens along the way. It’s a good feeling." - Korby
  • "Having health insurance gave me the freedom to take a job that I honestly would not have considered without it." - Misty
For these Americans, and millions like them, health coverage means peace of mind and security. It means they can pursue their passions without worry, because you never know what can happen. Without health coverage, you’re just one accident away from financial woes.
Affordable coverage through the Marketplace really does mean a new day for millions of Americans, and it’s why we encourage you to visit HealthCare.gov and explore your options.
And don’t forget—share your story with us by clicking here—it’ll only take a minute.
