Encourage People With Diabetes to Take Care of Their Heart: Know the Diabetes ABCsFebruary is American Heart Month and 2 out of 3 people with diabetes die of heart disease or stroke. Research has shown that people with diabetes can lower their risk for heart disease by managing the ABCs of diabetes—A1C, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol—and stopping smoking.
