This week, CDC and Futures Without Violence are co-sponsoring an "Ask the Expert" Facebook forum on teen dating violence prevention to observe Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.
You’re invited to ask questions, share ideas, and discuss prevention strategies on CDC’s VetoViolence Facebook pageand receive feedback from experts.
About 9% of high school students report being hit, slapped, or physically hurt on purpose by a boyfriend or girlfriend in the 12 months before being surveyed. The good news is that early prevention efforts promoting healthy, respectful relationship behaviors can stop teen dating violence before it starts.
