Health Communication Science Digest -- March 2014



Dear colleagues,
The March issue of Health Communication Science Digest (HCSD or Digest) is now available athttp://www.cdc.gov/healthcommunication/ScienceDigest/index.html
In the Digest this month: Several papers examine aspects of public health communication campaigns(Cismaru; Huansuriya et al.; Lee; Noar et al.). Health message design considerations (Eberth et al.; Hong; Jensen et al.; Xu & Sundar) and health message targeting and tailoring (Chapman; Himelboim & Han; Robinson & Robertson) are discussed in several works. Public health communication research involving risk perceptions (Silk et al; Yang et al.), health literacy (Apolinario et al; Bridges et al.; Harrington & Valerio), and new media in public health training (Kenefick et al.; Millery et al.) is reported. And, papers examining social marketing and health (Keller et al.; McKenzie-Mohr & Schultz; Truong) are also included. Finally, Zerfass & Schramm examine the notion of “social media newsrooms”.
