SAMHSA
Provide Feedback at the Behavioral Health Certification Listening Session
Thursday, May 22, 2014
Behavioral health (BH) and long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) providers play a critical role in care coordination, patient-centered care, and ensuring that health information follows a patient wherever he or she receives care. Health IT is an important tool in achieving these goals. The Certification and Adoption Workgroup of the Health Information Technology Policy Committee, organized by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), has been exploring the health IT needs of LTPAC and BH settings and how those needs could be supported through ONC Voluntary Electronic Health Record Certification.
The workgroup developed a proposed set of certification criteria [Word – 63 KB] focused on interoperability, privacy and security, and modularity and is now seeking your feedback. There is limited time for this session, so please register early.
