Latest New Mexico Healthcare-associated Infections Report
The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) released its 2013 annual report describing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) among patients in acute care facilities.

New Mexico Department of HealthThe report provides aggregate data on the following HAIs:  central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI), facility-onset Clostridium difficile infections (CDI), plus two voluntarily reported indicators, facility-onset methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteremia and healthcare personnel influenza vaccinations. The report indicates New Mexico hospitals are showing improvement when compared to national data for CLABSI and MRSA and are similar to the national data for CDI.
