Lupus Patients Needed for NIAID Clinical Research Trial
Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is commonly used to treat many features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus). Research teams across the country are conducting an NIAID-sponsored clinical trial to find out if SLE patients who have been on long-term MMF therapy and whose disease is quiet can safely stop taking their medication. Findings from this study could help standardize treatment for people with lupus.
