Tuesday Health.mil News Round-Up: Active-duty, Reserve Soldiers hone skills during Mountain Medic Course; Paving the way to end Ebola

There's no denying that the job of a soldier is one that requires a great deal of discipline, dedication and training. In order to meet the mission, soldiers must spend countless hours preparing themselves mentally and physically to meet the rigorous demands placed upon them. And that includes soldiers relying upon a small group of specialty trained troops, whose purpose is to keep their battle brothers safe and healthy -- soldier medics.

When soldiers in Liberia built and handed over an Ebola treatment unit last month to the International Organization for Migration near Buchanan, Liberia, it knew its mission wasn’t exactly complete. Now, Civil Engineers from that unit are making sure the road to the ETU is functional.
