Thursday Health.mil News Round-Up: Pentagon Farmers Market Puts Healthy, Fresh Food Choices Within Reach; Fort Bragg Soldiers and Families Learn Mission Critical Life Skills; FCPOA Sponsors “1st Class” Blood Drive

Department of Defense employees and visitors can enjoy farm-to-table produce, thanks to the new farmers market at the Pentagon. The market is open the first week of each month from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Pentagon near the Metro escalators.
Recently Operation Live Well staff visited Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where they learned how soldiers and families are integrating healthy living into their daily lives. The purpose of the visit was to analyze the impact and delivery of health and wellness initiatives on site as it relates to the Healthy Base Initiative (HBI) and Operation Live Well (OLW).
First Class Petty officers, of all ratings, come together to share information and help each other grow personally and professionally in the Office of the Secretary Defense’s First Class Petty Officer Association. As part of that growth, FCPOA teamed up with Armed Services Blood Program to raise awareness of its lifesaving mission.
