Do you dream of improving lives? Changing the world, one village at a time? Making a difference in your own community? If so, then apply to CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) program today! Applications for the 2016 EIS class will be accepted through August 17, 2015.
EIS is a 2-year fellowship that provides training in applied epidemiology. As an EIS officer, you are the boots on the ground, “disease detective,” the first responder to public health emergencies. EIS officers work 24/7 to save lives and protect people by solving mysterious outbreaks, detecting new microbes and ensuring global health when natural disasters and other emergencies occur. EIS officers work in all areas of public health including injury and violence prevention.
