Injury Center Announces New WISQARS Logo
The CDC Injury Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new logo and tagline for the Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS). The new logo is part of the ongoing evolution of WISQARS.
WISQARS: Your Source for US Injury Data
WISQARS started in 1999 and has evolved into the leading online data base for fatal and nonfatal injury data. We felt it was time to update and refresh the logo to reflect the system today and to symbolize the system’s future. This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. We are proud of WISQARS history and the hard work and dedication of the staff who have made WISQARS the invaluable resource it is today. That’s why our new logo retains the cat and its’ “wisqars” as a nod to its rich history. The tagline highlights the strengths and value of WISQARS as the most comprehensive and accessible source for injury data in the U.S.
In the upcoming months we will update our marketing materials and online presence with the new logo and tagline. In the meantime, we encourage you to use WISQARS, your source for US injury data, to learn more about the public health and economic burden of injury and violence.
