Medical Breakthroughs: First to Know

Must-Watch Documentaries

I very seldom see documentaries that hold my interest but, thanks to my business partner, Bette BonFleur, I just finished two that did. The Widowmaker, a disturbing program about the avoidance of heart attacks and Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory. Both are riveting and available on Netflix!
     Watch our Medical Headline Videos:
  •      Are e-cigarettes safe? Dr Matthias Salathe, md, Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is using a robot to find out.
  •      There is now a new imaging technique to help gynecologists detect endometriosis. Dr Kevin Audlin, MD, at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, says it offers women who have had chronic pain another way to be diagnosed correctly.
  •      The Obalon balloon is being used in Europe, Mexico and the Middle East for weight loss. Dr Steven Edmundowicz, MD, Chief of Endoscopy at the Washington University School of Medicine believes it will help people but only the ones who are motivated.
Emma Rudkin has been deaf since the age of 3 but sings and plays the guitar. Read her story to be inspired.
Yoga isn’t a quick fix for anything but it is very worthwhile. Our special report says it even helps with depression.

And there's more where that came from...
