How to deal with Alzheimer’s and incontinence

e-Update from the Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral Center, a service of the National Institute on Aging at N I H

Incontinence is a common problem for people with Alzheimer’s
disease, especially those in the later stages. Incontinence has
several possible causes, some that can even be treated, so it is
important to talk to the person’s doctor about it. Caregivers can
also help lower the risk of accidents.
