Medical Breakthroughs: First to Know

All Eyes are on Iowa

Today is the big day for voters in Iowa. I just hope they will think carefully about who should be our next President. I don’t want either party to choose someone we can’t be proud of…and I for one am not proud of anyone who tries to bully the media nor someone who wants the middle class to pay more taxes. That eliminates one from each party for me at least…
     Watch our Medical Headline Videos:
  •      People with OCD who have failed to get help with therapy and medication may now qualify for a surgery that has been successful for Parkinson’s patients. Check out our report, “DBS for OCD” and what Dr Donald Whiting, MD, Neurosurgeon at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh has to say about it.
  •      “A New Way to Banish Panic Attacks” offers a treatment tool called the Freespira Breathing System. Dr Alicia Kaplan, MD, Psychiatrist at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh tells us how much it has helped her patients.
  •      UCLA Dr Andrew Leuchter, MD, Professor of Psychiatry, is using the “TNS Patch for PTSD” to help patients from the Greater Los Angeles VA. He says he is “resetting the networks that function throughout the brain and relieving a lot of the symptoms. “
Dr Garni Barkhoudarian, MD, Neurologist at John Wayne Cancer Institute, told his patient he had tapeworms and he was actually happy. Watch this report if you have time…and never eat pork in Mexico or maybe anywhere else!
Professor Barbara Fredrickson, PhD, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at UNC Chapel Hill, ought to be the happiest person around. She has been studying “The Science of Happiness” for decades. I had to go to all sorts of seminars like EST and AVATAR and Buddhist retreats with Thich Nhat Hanh and Ani Pema Chödrön to figure out happiness…all you have to do is watch our report!
