Political Conventions Will Showcase Something…But What?

We have two political conventions coming up. I’m not sure they will be more about issues or entertainment but I personally am hoping for both. And then whoever wins in November ought to make gun control of any type a top priority. Why isn’t Congress focusing on this instead of the email issue that has been resolved?! Will the American people continue to let them dither or will we ever replace enough Congressmen and women to get Congress moving forward again?
     Watch our Medical Headline Videos:
  •      Dr Brian Cole, MD at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush tells us about how to save knees in younger patients with a cartilage transplant known as Allograft.
  •      Dr Charles Cox, MD and Professor of Surgery at University of South Florida in Tampa, is using new technology called Savi Scout to target breast tissue and make breast reconstruction easier on patients.
  •      Professor John Szivek, PhD at University of Arizona Arthritis Center, is growing cartilage from stem cells taken from fat tissue that could repair small defects and damage in arthritis patients and one day eliminate the need to put plastic and metal in people’s knees.
One of my favorite reports this week is “Things to Know to Save a Life” because it really made me realize how important it is for bystanders to jump in and give hands-only CPR until the emergency people arrive. Seven out of ten people don’t know what to do in a cardiac arrest setting and only half of the people who have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest get the help they need. The other half die.

And there's more where that came from...
