The presentation “Reproductive Health in Emergency Preparedness and Response” will discuss effects of disaster and selected infectious diseases on women of reproductive age, with particular emphasis on pregnant and postpartum women. Presenters will describe the CDC/Division of Reproductive Health participation in responses to recent emergencies, including the 2009 Pandemic H1N1, 2014-15 Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), and the ongoing Zika response. An update on CDC’s surveillance systems for Zika virus infection in pregnant women and their infants will also be provided. Additionally, the  new online course: “Reproductive Health in Emergency Preparedness and Response” for public health and health professionals about preparedness and response resources and tools specific to reproductive health will be presented.
