November is National Diabetes Month, a great time to ask yourself how your diabetes management plan is working. With all of life’s ups and downs, are you staying on top of day-to-day diabetes care?
  • Follow a healthy eating plan, including eating more fruits and vegetables and less sugar and salt.
  • Be physically active—10 to 20 minutes a day is better than an hour once a week.
  • Take diabetes medicine if prescribed by your health care provider.
  • Check your blood sugar to understand and track the effects of food, activity, and medicine. 
There’s more, of course, because diabetes is complicated. But all good bosses rely on their team—in this case, your health care team—to help them stay in control and manage effectively.
