NIAID Treatment Study for Allergic Eczema

NIAID Treatment Study for Allergic Eczema
Allergic eczema (a.k.a. “atopic dermatitis”) is much more common today than it was 30 years ago, affecting 10-20% of children around the world. Treatment cannot cure atopic dermatitis, but it can control it and NIAID researchers are testing a new approach to therapy.
You may be eligible to participate in the study if:
  • You are at least 7 years old
  • Your doctor has diagnosed you with atopic dermatitis
  • Your rash is located on your forearm or elbow
  • You are willing to make at least 4 visits to the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, during the year-long study.
