Ask NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins a question about anything!

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003, and the discovery of the DNA double helix structure in 1953, which we celebrate through a nationally-recognized DNA Day on April 25. The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is celebrating in a big way! We're kicking off a National DNA Day Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) series - starting next Friday, April 20 - with NIH's very own director, Dr. Francis Collins.
 
As NIH Director, Dr. Collins leads the NIH’s efforts to build innovative research programs, such as the All of Us Research Program. The program is assembling the world’s largest library of genetic, biometric and health data from research volunteers -- the data available to scientists worldwide.  Dr. Collins’ AMA will cover such topics as his experiences during the Human Genome Project and the future of precision medicine, but ask him anything! Ask your questions starting at 8 a.m. Eastern on Friday, April 20, 2018 on Reddit Science.
