Recently we took a close look at the progress that has been made in the overall percentage of people diagnosed with HIV who have achieved viral suppression in the United States. In this blog we examine the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) indicator that is used to monitor the progress of viral suppression among transgender women....
Graph showing trends of viral suppression among transgender women. Although annual targets were exceeded, there is work to be done to close the gap and reach 2020 target. As of 2016, 79% were virally suppressed.
